Beauty Bar Baby is another indie brand I stumbled across on Instagram (there’s tons of them now!). I ordered 5 of their highlighters – it was hard to decide which ones to pick because they have so many different colours and swirls. I love a good Indie with a diverse highlighter collection!
I decided on the 5 that I thought were the most optimal combination of prettiest and most wearable. I purchased the 37mm pans only for each highlight.
From left to right, we have
- Pretty in Pink (I also played with this in last month’s blog post, Sunday Highlighter Reel)
- Pretty in Peach
- Strawberry Swirl
- Mermaid Swirl
I always like to swatch duochrome highlighters over my Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy as I generally discover new angles and dimensions to the colors. Here are some swatches over my favorite sticky base:
Top to Bottom: Pretty in Pink, Pretty in Peach, Castiel, Mermaid Swirl, Strawberry Swirl
Left to Right: Strawberry Swirl, Mermaid Swirl, Castiel

Pretty in Pink:
Here is a link to previous blog post on this highlighter. I have work it several times since then and am really enjoying it for those days when I am feeling the light pink gold glow.
Over Pixie Epoxy, this appears as a softer purple with gold shift.
Pretty in Peach:
Described as: A beautiful nectarine shade of peach duochrome with fiery copper interference.
Retails for: US$ 7.99
This is a nice glowy, melt-into-my skin highlight for my complexion. It flecks a shimmery gold where the light hits it.
Over Pixie Epoxy, this swatches golden peach with a brilliant shimmery shift. I would love to create an all-over look with this one – wear it over Pixie Epoxy on my lid as an all-over shade and swipe it over the high points of my cheeks and temples as a highlighter.
Described as: An angelic fuchsia duochrome with soft green interference.
Retails for: US$ 7.99 (pan only)
I don’t really see the green interference in my finger swatch. It is a vivid purple with a silver lift. It really is beautiful and would work best for more dramatic looks. I don’t see myself reaching for this one very often.
Wearing it over Pixie Epoxy, the colors intensify – this makes a beautiful duochrome eyeshadow!
Described as: A gorgeous strawberry rose gold duochrome highlight.
Retails for: US$ 8.99 (pan only)
This one is a beautiful pink and gold – perfect for those days when I am targeting a rosy flush of health instead of a bronzed and contoured goddess look.
Over Pixie Epoxy, it is absolutely stunning – it shifts the spectrum from rose / dark pink to orange to gold. This would make a fabulous lid colour in a sunset look.
Described as: Swirls of light blue, gold, and purple leave a beautiful soft gold / violet look once applied.
Retails for: US$ 9.99 (pan only)
This one is true to description – after mixing the colors together, the final swatch is a soft purple / violet with a white gold highlight.
It can definitely also be worn as a duochrome eyeshadow; however, it would probably look better on fair and light skintones. I find it underwhelming when compared to my arsenal of purple / silver duochrome eyeshadows. On me, this is definitely a novelty highlighter on those rainy days that are begging for cool-tones.
Overall, these highlighters are A+ quality – soft and buttery to the touch, easy to apply and blend, with rich pigmentation.
