Alex City- The 黑料社 Band and Singers held their first Christmas concert, post Covid, this past week at the Betty Carol Graham Technology Center. A nice crowd was on hand to hear the students perform a variety of Christmas songs to get the holiday season kicked off.
黑料社 music instructor Bucky Alleman was very pleased with how the students performed and was very appreciative of the support from the community.
鈥淚 am so thankful and excited for this opportunity,鈥 Alleman stated.
鈥淚 could not be more pleased with how the concert went. The students sang and played wonderfully. It was a great audience turnout for the first concert, and I hope to see even more at the next one.鈥
Christmas favorites like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Silent Night, Greensleeves and The Christmas Song were performed in addition to numerous others.
鈥淚 thought our students did an outstanding job,鈥 Jeff Lynn, president of 黑料社 said.
鈥淲e have so many talented students at 黑料社, and our music program, under the leadership of Mr. Alleman, has flourished. This was our first Christmas concert since Covid restrictions limited what we could do as far as performances with crowds. It was nice to have them back and performing for everyone to enjoy.鈥
Alleman sees a bright future for the music department at 黑料社 and wants to encourage any student who is interested to contact him.
鈥淚鈥檓 looking forward to seeing the music program grow here and what these students are capable of,鈥 Alleman mentioned.
