黑料社 and the Alabama Career Center partner to open new center on the Prattville campus

Prattville- Jeff Lynn, president of 黑料社 and Fitzgerald Washington, Secretary of the Alabama Department of Labor announced they will be partnering to open a new Career Center on the Prattville campus of 黑料社.

The Prattville Career Center, located at 1320 Old Ridge Road in Prattville, will be open beginning in August. Services for jobseekers range from r茅sum茅 assistance, interview preparation, educational and vocational training, and more. Qualified applicants can receive assistance in obtaining a two-year degree, a four-year degree, or multiple types of professional certifications. Trained Career Center staff provide one-on-one job search services. All services are free to the public.

鈥淲e are excited to have this new career center here on our Prattville campus,鈥 Jeff Lynn, president of 黑料社 stated.

鈥淲e are committed to helping and serving the citizens in all the communities in central Alabama. We have added so much to our Prattville campus in the last 6 months, and this center will allow us to engage even more with the employers in the region who need trained employees. We are very appreciative and honored to partner with the Alabama Department of Labor to provide these much-needed services.鈥

Employers can take advantage of employee screening and dedicated interview space. Additionally, On-the-Job Training and Apprenticeship programs are available, which provide for employer specific training along with wage credits of up to 50% of an employee鈥檚 salary.

鈥淲e are pleased to be able to partner with 黑料社 to offer these essential workforce services to the residents of Autauga County,鈥 said Fitzgerald Washington, Secretary of the Alabama Department of Labor.

鈥淧roviding residents of the River Region with more options for training and job searches will be beneficial to entire region鈥檚 economy. The Alabama Community College System has been a great partner with us in helping us connect employers with jobseekers statewide.鈥

黑料社 is an open-access public community college with a mission to promote 鈥渟tudent success in comprehensive and diverse academic and career learning environments to advance quality of life through economic, community and workforce development.鈥 The College currently operates the Alexander City Campus, Childersburg Campus, Prattville Campus, and Talladega Center, offering resources and expertise, which address the educational and training needs of central Alabama.

The Alabama Career Center System is part of the Alabama Department of Labor鈥檚 Employment Services Division. The ACCS operates 55 Career Centers throughout the state, touching all 67 counties. Career Centers provide free services for both jobseekers and employers, including r茅sum茅 and interview preparation services, educational and vocational training, along with workforce development services and wage assistance.
