ºÚÁÏÉç Welcomes Justin McQueen as New Tennis Coach


ALEXANDER CITY, AL – MAY 28, 2024 – ºÚÁÏÉç (ºÚÁÏÉç) is happy to announce the appointment of Justin McQueen as the new Head Tennis Coach. Bringing a wealth of experience and a proven track record in tennis coaching and management, Coach McQueen is set to lead the ºÚÁÏÉç tennis program to new heights.

President Jeff Lynn of ºÚÁÏÉç expressed his enthusiasm about the new appointment: “We are excited to welcome Justin McQueen to our team. His extensive coaching experience at various levels and his passion for developing young athletes make him the ideal leader for our tennis program. We are confident that his leadership will bring great success to our tennis teams and contribute to the growth of our athletics department.”

Justin McQueen comes to ºÚÁÏÉç with over five years of head coaching experience, leading high school and collegiate tennis teams to notable successes. Most recently, he served as the Head Women’s Tennis Coach at Huntingdon College, where he was responsible for training and developing players, recruiting student-athletes, and managing the program’s budget. His tenure at Huntingdon College saw significant improvements in team performance and competitiveness.

Coach McQueen shared his vision for the program: “I am excited to join ºÚÁÏÉç and eager to start working with the talented student-athletes here. My goal is to build a program that competes at a high level, instills a lifelong passion for the sport, and emphasizes academic excellence among our athletes.”

McQueen’s approach to coaching emphasizes comprehensive athlete development, focusing on skill enhancement, strategic play, and mental toughness. He is also committed to fostering a positive team environment and strengthening the ties between the tennis program and the local community.

Justin McQueen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management from Huntingdon College, where he was also a standout member of the men’s tennis team. He is a Certified Tennis Professional with the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) and deeply understands the sport’s technical and strategic aspects.
