In today’s post, I swatch my Surreal Makeup Dragon Scales collection. Surreal Makeup products are mineral, hypoallergenic, and cruelty-free. Each shadow in the Dragon Scales collection retails for USD 15.00 for 1.5g of product and is described as ‘high shimmer, metallic, duochromatic eyeshadow’. It certainly delivers on those claims!
Surreal Makeup is an indie company that makes incredibly vibrant, bold duochromes – which is why these shadows do not get as much love from me as they should. They are a little too much for day to day. The shadows are quite powdery with micro-fine flecks – a sticky base is highly recommended. I have swatched mine over Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy, which is my base of choice for when I want my duochromes to really stand out.
Here are my swatches:
Surreal Makeup has a new multi-chrome collection out now – The Interstellar collection. These pigments look beautiful in the swatches but are quite pricey – at USD 18.00. At the moment, I am waiting to see if the company does a sale.
Have you tried Surreal Makeup? What do you think?
